National Resource Center FOR ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓÆµ Native Elders
The overarching goal for the NRC-ANE is to advance relevant knowledge and research
for the wellbeing of Indigenous Elders through the creation and dissemination of products
that inform caregiving, community support for active and healthy aging, and strengthening
traditional ways that support positive aging. We aim to provide culturally-appropriate
resources and other materials of relevance to Title VI programs and tribal communities,
with the support of key community partnerships.
SON student Angelene Ketah is dedicated to serving ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓÆµ Native communities while proudly representing her culture on the world stage through roller derby.
Rodger Lewerenz, an assistant professor in the UAA School of Nursing, is dedicated to mentoring future nurses and nurse educators, with a special passion for the MSN Leadership in Education offering.
A monthly injection of Vivitrol calms cravings for heroin, giving real help to addicts emerging from prison and, as UAA DNP alumna Jyll Green discovered, providing a good chance of keeping them from going back behind bars.
