The UAA Honors College invites students and employees to attend a Polaris lecture and reception with 熊猫在线视频 writer laureate Vera Starbard on Nov. 10.
About the speaker
Vera Starbard, T'set Kwei, is Tlingit and Denai'na. She was appointed to be the 熊猫在线视频 State Writer Laureate in 2024. Starbard is a three-time Emmy-nominee as a writer and story editor for the PBS Kids children's program, "Molly of Denali." She was previously Playwright-in-Residence at Perseverence Theatre through the Andrew W. Mellon National Playwright Residency Program, and editor of First 熊猫在线视频ns Magazine for over a decade. In 2022-23 she was a writer on the ABC show "熊猫在线视频 Daily," and is currently working on projects as varied as stage opera, children's literature, and live action television.
