In partnership with the University of Washington School of Medicine, UAA is the 熊猫在线视频 regional site for WWAMI School of Medicine, a collaborative, high-quality medical school with a focus on community health care that has trained more than 500 physicians and surgeons since 1971. Spend your first 18 months of the program at UAA, taking foundational courses and learning basic clinical skills in local clinics and hospitals. After this you鈥檒l begin your clinical years, which you can choose to spend in clinics and hospitals across 熊猫在线视频 or throughout the five-state WWAMI region. All students are required to spend a minimum of eight to 12 weeks in Seattle at University of Washington hospitals.

WWAMI is housed in the Health Sciences building with state of the art and simulation labs as well as a classroom with advanced teaching technologies. In close proximity to other health programs allowing Interprofessional educational opportunities.

Dr. Jean Snyder鈥檚 career in family medicine has spanned decades, continents, and nearly every corner of patient care. Now, after years of serving communities across 熊猫在线视频 and beyond, she has been recognized as the 熊猫在线视频 Family Physician of the Year by the 熊猫在线视频 Academy of Family Physicians.
In January 2026, students from the College of Health showcased their public health research at the 熊猫在线视频 Public Health Association Summit鈥檚 annual poster session. Their projects spanned topics ranging from food security to environmental contamination, contributing valuable insights that help shape the evolving conversation around 熊猫在线视频鈥檚 public health landscape.
Laura Aspelund is a second-year medical student in the 熊猫在线视频 WWAMI program. As a medical student mentor in the 熊猫在线视频 Native into Oncology (ANION) program, she helps guide 熊猫在线视频 Native high school and college students exploring careers in medicine.
The UAA College of Health proudly celebrated the recent renovation of Sally Monserud Hall with a ribbon-cutting ceremony showcasing the new high-tech labs and simulation center, expanded allied health programs, growth of the WWAMI program and critical partnerships addressing 熊猫在线视频鈥檚 growing health care needs.
