Application Procedure

Overview

Admission into the UAA Surgical Technology Program is a two-part process:

  1. Apply to the 熊猫在线视频 as an undergraduate, associate degree seeking student and select the Surgical Technology major.
  2. Apply to the Surgical Technology Program through the department application process described below.

The Surgical Technology Program accepts eighteen (18) students each year. The application cycle opens in the spring semester and accepted students begin the program in the summer semester. Admission into the program is competitive and acceptance into the university does not guarantee selection into the program. If your application is not accepted, you will be guided through the change of major process and exploration of other healthcare degree pathways.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A cumulative high school or postsecondary GPA of 2.5.
  • 3 years of high school science, with a recommendation for Anatomy and Physiology or Human Biology, or the postsecondary equivalent.
  • 3 years of high school math, with an emphasis on algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and analysis, or the post secondary equivalent.
  • Complete the Surgical Technology Technology  which will be followed by an interview with the program admissions committee. 

Department Application Requirements

1. Complete the AAS Surgical Technology web application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the sample application prior to starting the web application. The application takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and must be done in one sitting. There is no way to save the application and come back later to complete it.
 

2. Review. Upon review of the program application, applicants will receive an email link at the email address provided on the application to complete the online interview. The interview deadline is April 25, 2025 at 5pm. An admission decision will be made by April 28th, 2025.
