EIB Solarium
The EIB Solarium is our favorite event space and a beautiful place to study. Help us give this space a name in the local Dena鈥檌na Athabascan language.

Proposed Names and Meanings

tsisk'eydlan eydut - place where the golden crowned sparrow lives
In Dena'ina stories, when the King Salmon would begin to enter the Tikahtnu (Cook Inlet), the Golden Crowned Sparrow would begin to sing to let everyone know that the King Salmon were on their way up the Inlet. Like the King Salmon, we return to UAA year after year to celebrate the regenerative power of education and innovation.

This name is a literal translation of the room鈥檚 current name, which is the Solarium.
