Dual Enrollment

If you would like to take a UAA class while in high school or are a part of a dual enrollment program like ANSEP Acceleration Academy or the 熊猫在线视频 or Mat-Su Middle Colleges, you are a dual enrollment student.


Admission Requirements

Dual enrollment means you are attending high school and taking one or more courses at UAA.

Just Taking a Class at UAA

If you are attending high school and would like to take a class or classes at UAA, you need to apply for admission at UAA as a non-degree-seeking student.

Non-degree-seeking students follow the same enrollment dates and deadlines as other students. For class start dates, add/drop deadlines and other important information, see the Office of the Registrar Dates and Deadlines.

Program Participant

If you are part of a dual enrollment program like ANSEP Acceleration Academy or the Middle College Programs, you will first apply for admission with your program. Each dual enrollment program has specific admission requirements, application processes and deadlines. Once you are accepted to the dual enrollment program, then you will apply for admission at UAA as a non-degree-seeking student.

Important Considerations

  • Non-degree-seeking students are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Grades you receive as a non-degree-seeking student will appear on your official transcript. Should you decide to later apply as a degree-seeking student at any college or university, you'll be required to submit your official transcript from UAA.
  • Non-degree-seeking students may audit a class; you must request this by the add/drop deadline.
  • Some dual enrolled non-degree-seeking students are responsible for their tuition costs and all associated fees, including the mandatory , which provides access to a variety of services such as recreational use of the fitness facilities in the Seawolf Sports Complex, reduced ticket prices to musicians and comedians, and free office visits at the Student Health and Counseling Center.

Before completing anything for UAA, you need to complete the application for your dual enrollment program.

The online application takes about 15鈥30 minutes to complete and is free. You will apply to UAA as a 鈥渘on-degree-seeking鈥 student.

You will create an account that will let you save your application and log back in any time to complete your application.

 

Gold checklist boxSubmit Secondary Student Parent/Guardian Authorization

If you are 17 years old or younger, you must submit the Secondary Student Parent/Guardian Authorization form, which you can find on the Office of the Registrar's Forms page, listed under "Registration." This form only needs to be submitted once before you register for the first time.
