Diesel Power Tool List

The following is the required basic tool list for students entering the UAA Diesel Power Technology program. Each student is responsible for maintaining, securing and having available his/her own tools while attending classes. Tools must be identified with a personal identification mark.

A quality set of hand tools is a vital part of being a skilled technician.  It is anticipated that each student will add to this list on a needs-basis as she/he proceeds through the program. Traditionally, a tool vendor fair is held the first week of classes offering special student pricing. Please talk to your advisor if you have questions.

  1. Tool cabinet with wheels. Must be secure and have sufficient capacity to hold all items on this list. 鈥� Maximum recommended tool box width is 42鈥�
