 - Do I need an appointment? No, the Math Testing Center is first come, first served.
 - What if the Math Testing Center is full? This does happen occasionally, and you will have to wait until a spot opens up. This is a very good reason not to wait until the last minute to take your exams.
 - What if I would prefer to make an appointment or if I have other commitments during
the time that the Math Testing Center is open? The UAA Testing Center located in the library is available to our students as well if you prefer to make an appointment or if you have classes or work during the Math Testing Center hours. Choose PROCTORED EXAMS, UA Proctored Exams and Other Department. Make sure you discuss this with your instructor beforehand to ensure they have the instructions, password or paper exam.
 - What should I bring to the Math Testing Center?Bring your WolfCard. You must have some sort of photo ID and your student ID number in order to test. If you are testing on Blackboard, you might need your phone to log in to the multi-factor authentication. If you are testing on ALEKs or another platform, you will need your login information for that site. Your instructor may have other allowable items, such as calculators or note sheets. Scratch paper will be provided and you must write your name and professor鈥檚 name on the scratch paper and turn it in when you leave.
 - Where can I stow my items during the exam?Backpacks, personal computers, etc should be stowed on the floor. When your exam begins, phones must be in your pocket, in a bag and not on the table or where they can be seen by you during the exam.
 - My exam has a password, but I don鈥檛 have that password. This is because each exam is password protected and the passwords are known to only the instructor and the proctor. Raise your hand to let the proctor know you are ready for your password. Do not get up and take the computer to them.
 - Speaking of computers, can I take my exam on my own computer?Generally, no. Some instructors may allow it if all the computers in the testing center are being used. All ALEKs exams MUST always use the center computers.
 - What if my exam is on paper and not the computer? If that is the case, inform the proctor and they have the paper tests provided by your instructor.
 - Do I need to complete my test by closing time?Yes. At closing time, you will have to log out of your test and leave. Please arrive in plenty of time to complete your test before closing. No one may begin an exam within 30 minutes of closing time.
