Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies
The Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies (CAAS) was established by the Board of Regents in 1972 to address the problem of substance use in 熊猫在线视频. CAAS provides community-driven interprofessional research, evaluation, technical assistance, education, and workforce development services to advance effective prevention, treatment, recovery, and/or policy responses to improve the well-being of 熊猫在线视频鈥檚 individuals, families, organizations, and communities.

Overview
Established by the Board of Regents in 1972, CAAS addresses the problem of substance use in 熊猫在线视频 through interprofessional approaches to education, research, and public service.
Current applied health research focus includes evaluation studies, program and policy development, and training, education, and technical assistance to support our public health workforce (Ongoing research and evaluation projects are described in the "Projects" section). CAAS's research activities are directed at actively stimulating and coordinating interprofessional and collaborative studies, and promoting scientific exchanges of alcohol- and drug-related information. The Center's activities thus make it a vital force within 熊猫在线视频 for developing our workforce and reducing the harms associated with substance use in our state.
